Pastor Steve Thomason
leads a professional staff which provides ministry to people of
various ages in a broad scope of ethnic and cultural settings.
Pastor Alejandro Gonzalez provides leadership to the Hispanic
community, Pastor Rolando Pel leads the Tagalog language
ministry and Pastor Hans Labor ministers to our young adults,
teens and children.

Pastor Steve is a
retired Army chaplain and owns a commercial website design company
in San Diego. He feels equally at home with both the
military and business communities. He has been in the ministry since
1966.
He holds ministerial
degrees from Hope International University, Fullerton, CA; Emmanuel
School of Religion, Johnson City, TN, and California Graduate School
of Theology, La Habra, CA. Additional studies were taken at Hebrew
Union College Biblical and Archaeological School, Jerusalem and
Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.
As an Army Chaplain,
he served on active duty for 16 years and as an active reservist for
11; retiring in 2003. This took his family to such locations as
Alabama, Germany, New Jersey, Texas, Korea and California.
Pastor Steve
ministered to churches in the San Francisco Bay area for 14 years
before moving to San Diego..
He is married to
Linda, a retired school teacher, and has four adult children.

Rolando Pel
Pastor to the Tagalog Speaking Community
Bro. Pel ministered
to various churches in the Philippines for 25 years before coming to
the United States. In addition to being on staff at Manila
Bible Seminary, he was also the chairman of the Cavite Churches of
Christ Organization, the vice chairman of the Cavite Christian
Workers Association and the vice president of SPKKKabite.

Alejandro Gonzalez
Pastor to the Hispanic Community

Alejandro and Norma
came to us from the Church of Christ on South Fetterly Avenue in Los
Angeles, CA. They were called to First Christian Church in 2002 to
provide ministry to the Hispanic community here.
They lead worship,
teach Bible studies (both in National City and Tecate, Mexico), conduct home cell teams, lead groups on short
term mission tours and evangelize the community using the Spanish
language and culture.
First Christian
Church is sponsoring the construction of a two story
orphanage on
Alejandro's property near Tecate, Mexico where up to 30 children
will eventually have a Christian home.

Born in Germany, his family immigrated to the
United States in the early 1990's. He grew up with this church
family and holds a degree from Hope International University in
Fullerton, CA.
Pastor Hans leads the teens',
young adult's and
children's ministries. He leads the Senior/Junior High Youth
Group (see their web page), teaches Bible School classes and coordinates the Junior
Church program.
He is also a great
mentor to college aged and young married couples; supervising our
newly established Young Adult/College/Career ministry. Visit their
