First Christian Church is a non denominational church consisting of 3 congregations meeting on the same campus: English Language, Spanish Language and Tagalog Language, each with their own pastor and leadership. Our discipleship and outreach ministries focus on men, women, children, teens, young families and college single students.

Our mission is to Connect to Christ and His church - to be Empowered by the Holy Spirit and God's Word - and to Serve our church and our community.

Our campus is the location for the community Head Start Program, a major distribution center for the San Diego Food Bank and we are a member of the National City Chamber of Commerce.

In times of economic downturn we have opened the church pantry every Wednesday and Friday evenings for the church and the community and also provide a discount food program available to the public through The Treasure Box. In addition we are a major distribution center for the San Diego Food Bank every second Friday morning of each month.

First Christian Church is committed to transforming lives by the work of the Holy Spirit through . . .

Caring for one another,
Reaching others for Christ,
Offering ourselves,
Studying the Scriptures, and
Serving together as a family

. . . to be Christ-like in authentic relationship with God and one another.

Please join us in worship, Bible study, outreach and encouragement as we build up the Body of Christ in love!

What's Going On?

In Worship
Sunday: 10:30 a.m.

The worship experience at First Christian Church is a balanced blend of traditional and contemporary style. The Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) is observed weekly and offered to everyone who is willing to participate in a knowledgeable and respectful way. Along with Pastor Steve's biblical and practical messages, our worship becomes both inspirational and enjoyable.

Our English services (9:00 & 10:30 a.m.) and Spanish service (10:30 a.m.) meet on Sunday; the English worship in the worship center and the Spanish worship in the chapel. The Tagalog language worship meets at 5:00 p.m. Sunday in the worship center.

With Outreach

Each of our church members have been provided with evangelism tools and are trained and encouraged to witness as a way of life.

In times of economic downturn we have opened a church food distribution room for our community. Every Wednesday and Friday evening the pantry is open for free food distribution.

We are also a food distribution center for the San Diego Food Bank the 2nd Friday morning of each month from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Any resident of National City who meets certain financial criteria may receive free food. Three hundred fifty of our neighbors receive food for their families. Over 1100 people benefit from this program.

We maintain a discount food program available to the public through The Treasure Box. Currently for $32 you can purchase o box of frozen food worth about $75 to $100.

First Christian Church sponsors and participates throughout the year at Featherstone Christian Camp with church retreats as well as the summer camps for families, teens and children.

The church CD is now online here.
